Furniteur is visual artist and electronic musician Brittany Sims.
Drawing equal inspiration from neoteric art, early electronic music, thrift store disco, and the visual aesthetic of glamour icons from bygone eras, Furniteur began as a concept while Brittany was studying fine arts at the New York Studio School in Greenwich Village.
Furniteur’s 4 song self titled extended player was recorded entirely on analog gear during the winter of 2014 in a small studio hidden discretely inside a row house in Washington, DC.
The juxtaposition of meticulously programmed outboard synthesizers and sequencers with Brittany’s delicate and effortless vocal delivery creates an intentional contrast of longing for genuine human connection while immersed in a landscape of increasingly automated technology.
Furniteur is human aesthetic.

As overplayed as Resonance is among the circles of internet music I've hung out in, I'm perfectly happy with that - for one, it's a great track regardless of overplay, and for two, it introduced me to albums worth of pleasing, sentimental-sounding chillwave. Artemy Musha

It is a remarkable stage from the 90's, but come full force into the modern era ,reminiscent of parties and home treachery adding to the indulgence of party favors. Moderate use and fantastic dance raves! cliffy9
